How do I sign your contract?

Once your building’s leasing team confirms your lease details with us, we will send you a contract for signature through DocuSign along with your invoice.

Once you’re approved and your building’s leasing team confirms your lease details with us, we will send you and any of your roommates a contract for signature through DocuSign. The email will contain a link directing you to complete your signature on the DocuSign website.

We’ll email you an invoice separately for the cost of your policy with TheGuarantors.

DocuSign is a secure and widely used platform that allows for easy and efficient electronic signatures. It eliminates the need for printing, scanning, and mailing physical documents, making the process faster and more convenient for all parties involved.

How do I complete my signature?

To sign the contract, please follow these steps:

  1. Check your inbox and spam folders for a DocuSign email
  2. Click on the link provided in the email to access the DocuSign website
  3. You do not need a DocuSign account to complete your signature. If you are prompted to sign in, please try opening the link in a different internet browser or an incognito tab.
  4. Review the contract carefully to ensure you understand the terms and conditions.
  5. Once you are satisfied with the contract, locate the signature fields within the DocuSign document. Click on the highlighted signature fields and DocuSign will prompt you to e-sign.
  6. If you have roommates who will be listed on your lease agreement, they will each receive a separate email with their own link to sign. They will need to follow the same process to individually complete their signatures.
  7. TheGuarantors will be automatically notified once you and all of your roommates have completed your signatures. Please note that you will also need to pay your invoice before your policy can be finalized.

If you have any questions on how to use DocuSign, you can learn more on their website.

Who needs to sign?

Each leaseholder is required to sign the contract and will receive a separate email containing a link to sign. We do not require signatures from occupants on the lease, dependents, or personal guarantors.

I received my invoice but didn’t receive the contract. Can you resend it to me?

If you have received an invoice from TheGuarantors but did not receive a contract via email, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder: Occasionally, emails from DocuSign can be filtered as spam by your email provider.
  2. Search your email inbox: Use the search function in your email inbox and enter keywords such as "TheGuarantors" or "contract" to locate the email. Sometimes emails can be misplaced or hidden in different folders.

If you have thoroughly checked your spam folder and inbox and still cannot find the contract email, you can request a new contract by texting SUPPORT to +1 929-556-6810." Then, type "Resend my contract."

Once we receive your request, our underwriting team will promptly assist you and resend the contract to the email address associated with your account.
