Do I need to renew my Rent Coverage?

However, individual buildings’ Rent Coverage renewal requirements may vary. Please contact your building directly to confirm whether you will be required to maintain Rent Coverage with TheGuarantors for your renewal lease.

My building says I don’t need to renew my coverage with TheGuarantors. How can I opt out of renewing?
To opt out of the Coverage renewal process, please ask your landlord to email us confirming that they will not require coverage from TheGuarantors for your renewal lease.

Why does my policy need to be renewed?
Each Rent Coverage policy covers the term of one lease, so your coverage will expire with each lease. Unless you now meet your building's approval requirements, you will need to purchase another policy when you renew your lease.
