Do I need to verify my policy if I purchased directly from theGuarantors?

If you purchased your renter's insurance policy with theGuarantors, you do not need to submit your policy for verification. Your landlord will be automatically informed of your policy after purchase.

How do I start verifying my policy purchased from a third-party insurance provider?

Each property has a designated verification link for tenants to verify their insurance policy. This link is usually included in the landlord’s renter’s insurance notification email. If you cannot find your property’s verification link, please ask your landlord to resend it.

The verification link looks like the picture below, which gives you options to purchase policy from us, or verify your policy. In this case, you can click verify policy button to start verifying your policy.

Step 1: Provide your information

You will need to input your name, email, phone number, your apartment address, and Unit number to start your verification process. To ensure that we can match your policy with your lease, please use the name, email address that you signed up with the landlord when applying for the apartment. And use the correct building address and Unit number on your lease.

Once you have provided all the necessary personal information, you can proceed with linking your policy for verification.

Step 2. Linking your policy for verification

Please select your insurance carrier to link your policy for verification.  You can click here to learn more about our data security related to verification. Once your renter's insurance is linked with theGuarantors, we will be able to verify your policy.

You can use the search bar to locate your insurance provider. If you are not able to find your insurance provider, click "My Insurer Isn't Listed" and it will direct you to upload your policy declaration page.

How do I know if my policy is verified?

Once we finish verifying your policy, you will see the notification that your policy has been verified. You are ALL SET!!

What should I do if I do not receive a result immediately?

If you did not receive a verification result immediately, it means that we need more time to process your insurance policy verification. Please allow us some time, and look out for our email notification for your result. Your landlord will also be notified of the result as soon as we have it.
