What should I do if a claim is filed on my policy?

After your landlord files a claim, one of our mitigation team agents will contact you to provide the details of the claim and discuss a reimbursement plan with you.

Your landlord will file a claim with TheGuarantors if you have an outstanding balance on your account after you move out. You would be responsible for reimbursing TheGuarantors once we have paid out your landlord’s claim.

In case we can’t hear from you, we have the option to refer your case to an attorney and/or a collections agency, whereby appropriate legal fees could be added to your account pursuant to the General Agreement of Indemnity. A court case may be brought against you, which could result in a judgment against you in favor of TheGuarantors. This debt may also show up on your credit report.
