Why was my application declined?

Each approval decision is determined by our proprietary risk models, which use hundreds of data points. For this reason, we often cannot provide a single, specific reason that an application was denied.

While we aim to work with as many renters as we can, we are unfortunately unable to approve every application that we receive. 

Each approval decision is determined by our proprietary risk models, which use information from your application and, in certain circumstances, a consumer report, as well as hundreds of other data points. For this reason, we often cannot provide a single, specific reason that an application was denied. Our customer support team will not be able to provide additional information regarding the cause of an application’s denial.

Can I appeal the decision?

If you plan to reapply for the same location with no change in co-tenants, you may request to have your application reviewed again once 30 days have passed. Please note that providing additional documents, such as bank statements, letters of employment, or tax returns, will not affect the approval decision. We unfortunately cannot re-evaluate the application until at least 30 days have passed.

If you plan to reapply for a new location or you will have a new set of co-tenants, you can reapply immediately.
